Adelaide loves Deaf TV

.Adelaide C31 adds an extra timeslot for Deaf TV in which the Deaf Community will be able to watch the Deaf TV shows three times per week.

Deaf TV resumed the programs in Adelaide last September after two years' absence. Last winter a deaf person in Adelaide appealed Deaf TV to resume but Adelaide C31 found it difficult to find a place in the timeslot frames for awhile. Deaf TV finally stepped into the Adelaide C31 shows in late September. The second timeslot was set up next month for the repeats. Adelaide C31 added third timeslot for Deaf TV on Sundays - re-starting the first episode that was first shown on Tuesday on 23rd September.

Deaf TV is a non-profit local organisation which is based on the enthusiasm of Deaff volunteers in Melbourne. Deaf TV is primarily funded through member donations and sale of products. This volunteer organisation does not receive any regular Government or private funding.

Deaf TV screens programs on a local community television Melbourne Channel 31 station every Monday at 7 p.m. and Tuesday at 9.30 a.m.

Also at Adelaide C31, every Tuesday 7.00 p.m (original), Thursday 2.00 p.m. (repeat) and Sunday 5.30 p.m. (Episode One starts on 23rd November 2008).

We often film the activities in the Deaf Community as many as we can. Some Deaf producers may make their own sequences and may submit theirs to us. We will have a look and edit them for our Deaf TV programs.

From 8th September 2008, Channel 31 runs its Season 60 (each season every three months to re-schedule) and there is one repeat during the week after Monday's original screenings.
